Couple and Family Counsellor
Shweta is a warm and engaging Couple and Family Counsellor who has experience working across the areas of parenting, communication, relationship conflict and infidelity.
Shweta brings positivity, insight and thoughtfulness to her therapy sessions. She is known for her ability to guide her clients gently to a place where they understand themselves and their relationships better – while also helping them with practical and actionable ways to change things for the better.
“My approach is collaborative and focused on what you would like to achieve and where you would like to be in your relationships. I will be here to work through what’s going on for you, and support you to find a workable way through it.
I know that sometimes the way forward can seem complex and daunting – maybe even lonely. Gaining a non-judgemental perspective from someone who will ‘hold’ you and help you is an invaluable step in moving towards greater clarity and certainty.”
Shweta has a particular interest in the areas of eating disorders and body image problems, blended families, same sex families and working with different cultural influences. She has experience working with children with learning difficulties as well as behavioural issues.
Clients build long-lasting, trusting relationships with Shweta and say that they value the support and direction she provides. Her open and non-judgemental approach makes her easy to talk to, and her clients say they feel listened to and supported. Shweta is a parent – she ‘gets’ it.
Shweta works with clients to help resolve behaviours, resentments and communication problems. Her work is solution focused and results driven. She draws on Systemic, Narrative, Psychoanalytical and other modalities in her therapeutic work.
