Couple and Family Counsellor
Margie is a reflective but firm Couple and Family Counsellor. Her work is results-orientated. It’s been her experience that most people have the resources to overcome their relationship challenges – they often just need the right skills to help them, and the circuit-breaker that Couple and Family Counselling can provide.
Margie is passionate about helping couples and families who want to repair relationships. She works with people who need support parenting a child/children, as well as adult families who have experienced estrangements or a traumatic event.
Margie is an astute Therapist and is very quickly able to contain conflict in the room to ensure sessions are productive. She creates a grounded, nurturing space for her clients and is immediately relatable, bringing years of experience and wisdom to her work.
Margie works systemically and draws on Gottman ideas, Bowen, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
Qualifications and Professional Membership
Graduate Diploma in Relationship Counselling from the Institute of Social
Bachelor’s degree in counselling and Communications from the Australian College of Applied Psychology
Certificate in the Art of Relationship Counselling from Interrelate Australia.
Member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
